Hoist
A key utility of outlines is that you can see the structure of very large documents, yet zoom in on any one part. “Hoisting” allows you to do something in between. If you select a header in some outliners and hoist that header, what you get is a view of the outline as if only the structure under that one header existed. You could, for example, have a whole book in one outline, but work on outlines of chapters in isolation by hoisting.

Show office documents in Viewer
Possibility to display office documents (doc, xls, ppt, and pdf) within MyInfo - other programs can do this - they display the document in their own browser - where MyInfo displays web pages now. Then it would be possible to do almost everything in MyInfo.

Hyperlinks and anchors
One thing I'm looking for and haven't found is the ability to create a hyperlink to another document in the same file, or a different file....and not just to the other document but more specifically to a portion of the text within that other document. In other programs this is accomplished by creating an anchor, like in html, and then creating a hyperlink to that anchor.

Improved export to Word
When exporting documents to word, it would be great to pass on the paragraph styles as word-formatting-styles, that would make final editing in word much easier!

WYSIWYG Printing
Option to print the Topic outline exactly as seen on-screen. This means a header row for the columns, 1 row per outline, and a column for each displayed attribute.

Search option for "outline only" (excludes text pane)
Current "outline only" search seems limited to leftmost string. Needs "contains" logic, else an option in the normal search to search Outline only.

Index non-english characters
Search does not find text with non-english characters. I'd like it to find my foreign texts (greek, cyrillic, etc)..

Export documents/tree to a Word outline
Word has a nightmarish outline mode, used by many persons. It would be nice that documents and the tree structure b exported as a Word outline in order to send it to colleagues that still do not have MyInfo.

Improve control over table properties
There are many table properties that can't be controlled in MyInfo, even though it can already display imported tables that use those properties.
MyInfo needs a properties dialog that sets (at least): border width and color, table width (including percent), and column widths. Table properties should be shown in the left-click menu when you are in a table.15 votesAdded in MyInfo 5.0.

Rename topic
There should be special "rename topic" command in the File menu. Right now I have to use Save As and then delete the old topic..

Add gridlines for all attribute cells visable in Tree Pane
This would give a similar grid look as already exists in the Task Pane. It would improve navigation if one wants to alter the attribute of several documents or tasks in succession (e.g. Due Date) when in the Tree Pane.

Allow selecting multiple items in Filter/Tag results
One way to extend the power of filters is to be able to:
1. Filter
2. Apply a tag to all the results.E.g., I'd like to be able to search amongst only projects. I assign a special icon for projects so I know what's a project. (I posted this problem elsewhere and suggested the ability to do a keyword search on a filtered list. This is another solution to that problem)>
- Activate my "Projects" filter
- Select all results
- Edit Tag to include "Project".
Now, to find a project about Adwords, I search on "Project Adwords"

Cloned documents, jump to
The feature would allow a user to jump from one clone to the next clone in an outline, without the need to do a search or a filter.

Create a setting that sets "collapse all" documents as the default
Create a setting that sets "collapse all" documents as the default whenever one leaves the tree view (e.g. for a filter) or closes a topic or closes MyInfo. This would then act somewhat like a "hoist" when opening a filtered topic because all other 1st level topics would be collapsed. Otherwise one returns to a tree view that has lots of visable clutter.
