An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedOpen Office outlining is very poor indeed. It would be better to try to emulate the outlining feature of Microsoft Word.
But I agree that outlining in the text pane would be good if it were implemented properly.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYou can already do this by adding a user attribute. I ignore the priority attribute and have two different attributes to replace it, Importance and Urgency (this is more to do with time), things can be very important without being very urgent, or Urgent without being important.

This could be a table after the end of the document containing a list of files either linked or embedded within the database.
You could drag and drop files to this table and double clicking would open the file, right clicking would bring up a context menu which would allow you to delete a link (or file if it were embedded) or do whatever other housekeeping task you needed to do.
