I agree with Sueido - Dropbox and Microsoft Live Sync are robust tools that already provide this functionality. I'd much rather see Milenix developers focus on functionality that can't be found elsewhere.

This would be useful in conjunction with a per-document "lock" option. Finished documents could be marked as locked, which would default those documents to the view-only mode. Work-in-progress documents could still default to edit mode.

It could be very useful if the formatting used standard CSS (or a subset of CSS). Style-sheets could be applied to entire topics and/or at the documents level.

If this was implemented, it would be nice if a full revision history of the Document was tracked. For example, the revision history would also track the location of the Document in the Topic so that the original location of moved documents would be available. Likewise, deleting a Document (by default) would retain the history of the document so that it, or any previous revision of it, could be restored at a later time. (I'd think a Purge feature might be necessary if the user truly wanted to expunge all trace of the Document.)
